A backpacking wood stove with a blower-An overview
“designed to burn damp or wet wood”
Amongst my ultralight wood-fired blower stove, there is a stove for everyone in the range; from large to small, single to double pot, ultralight rollup to non-roll-up, DIY budget student stoves, base camp stoves and even a stove when you don’t want to carry a stove with weight and budget as little as 75g and $47 respectively.
For those who are interested in the tinkering, technical and historical background to my stoves, my full article on the ultralight blower stove describes the developments with my learnings through failure, persistence and chance.
The post choosing a stove for you can guide your stove choice.
Other posts describe a wide range of stoves subjects that include; component parts, power supplies, instructions, safety warnings, wood fuels and their combustion, fire starters and a backup alcohol burner.
ADDENDUM
For my latest and most innovative ultralight wood stove, please see my Miniature Dome Stove. It combines a powerful tent heater/ cooker stove with a fast blower stove and a backup alcohol stove. It is the ultimate three-in-one wood-fired cold climate backpacking stove. At about 650g it includes a large dinner pot that is also the backpacking container for the stove components.
