Part 7.-A cheap blower stove to supplement to KISS Tent Stove
Introduction
In a previous post, I described the KISS Tent Stove. It is an ultralight stick burning stove that for the sake of simplicity and cost was stripped of the blower and alcohol stove functionality.
This post describes an ultralight, simple and cheap supplementary C-ring blower stove that can complement the KISS stove to provide this functionality when required. It could be taken or left behind on a snow trip and could also be used as a standalone stove for non-snowtrips.
The C-ring burner, made of titanium, fits neatly in the custom cooking pot that is designed to cook dinner on and also to pack the KISS Stove in.
For backpacking, the C-ring fits inside the KISS cooking pot and the fire dome of the KISS stove fits within the C-ring. The titanium V-wire large pot support from the KISS tent stove doubles up as the C-ring bridge unit wire and support for a second cooking pot if required.
A satisfactory C-ring blower stove could be made from tin plate from a coffee can or baby formula can or similar.
A funny term is ‘baby formula’, so here is an ode that was just irresistible;
They tried for a baby with no luck,
Then saw a baby formula on a big truck,
I’m not faking, the next line your mistaken,
Alas, in bed, on the formula they were not struck.
However, although it will have along serviceable (the stove), it will be a shorter life than for a titanium one, because the blower makes the stove charcoal burn very hot.

Tim,
I hope in another post you mention the blower element.
