Ultralight pancake spatula
A compact ultralight pancake spatula is described for pancake and egg cooking while ultralight backpacking.
I enjoy ultralight backpacking (walking or skiing) and I also like pancakes and lime syrup for supper. They are a simple, compact fun food to finish a meal and share with others while camping together.
Fried eggs are another delight when on shorter trips. When cooking pancakes or eggs, sporks, knives or sticks will just not suffice, especially for that first critical flip-over. A normal kitchen spatula is too big and heavy. My waking friend Allan has a very good MSR alpine spatula that I commandeered to make my pancakes. This inspired me to make my own spatula that would be even lighter and more compact so that it would fit efficiently inside my blower stove pot set (blower stove).
Ultralight and compact pancake spatula for ultralight backpacking. At ~9 g it is very light and fits inside a 900 ml cooking pot and it is also good for stirring dehydrated camp meals while cooking and for falafel and fried eggs cooking
